Each group has its own 'handbook' containing general information for members about the group and it's way of doing things.

The website user handbook is a collection of articles about the 'mechanics' of the website as opposed to it's content. It is intended to help new users getting started: there are 'How to ...' step by step tutorials, some overviews of important aspects of the interface (eg how membership and groups work) and plenty of room (on every page) for your questions and queries.

The Driffield Navigation was built as an amenity for the local community in the 18th Century. Now, in the 21st Century, it's role has changed but it is still, perhaps even more so, a great asset to the area and various communities of people whose lives are enriched by contact with some aspect of this priceless rural waterway.

This guidebook was originally published in 1983? and is in currently being rewritten and updated. If you notice anything in here which is now inaccurate, please do leave a comment on the relevant page so it can be used in the new edition of the guide.

This series of articles by Ricky Richardson, comprises a photographic record of cruises made in the narrowboat Tame Valley in 2000 and 2002. They cover most of the River Hull and the presently navigable sections ot the Driffield Navigation. Each page contains several photographs and so may be relatively slow to load, but be patient - it's worth it!
