Canoes

Is it possible to paddle from Driffield through to North Frodingham, if there is any obstacles is it possible to walk around.

Do you need any permits to do this.

Thanks Len I and my group of friends will be looking forward to tackling it,especially as there is an icecream shop at the end, we wouldn't be entering the locks anyway from a safety point of view.

Can we also use the landing stage at the pub in Wansford or is it a private landing stage.

Do you know if you can paddle back down the adjacent river from the last lock near Wansford as this would make a nice circular paddle back to Frodingham, I've spoken to the house owner who said he wouldn't object for us to cross the land from the lock o the river but he felt that to paddle the river was discouraged!

i would think you would get a ticking off for paddling back up west beck from wansford as its a VERY exclusive trout fishing stream .  and the owners get upset if anyone gets anywere near corpse landing which is down stream about a mile, reachable from bethels bridge . . . thats only a pike anglers veiw dont take it as gospel . .

apparenly you could be shot at dawn for paddling the river you asked about it is a trout fishery and has a couple of wiers on it i should stick to the water you went out to driffield on, Any way well done you have caused some interest and provoked a response
