• At town lock the towpath veers briefly away from the canal, dodging around Lock View and Sedgefield cottages via a leafy corridor.
• Access to Town Lock is a public right of way [?] across Lockview's lawn.
• For most of this length it is a wide grass path between the hawthorne-dotted bank of the canal and a wire fence.

Billabong Lakeside Watersports and Caravan Park is in a tranquil setting in the East Yorkshire countryside, two miles to the North of Bransburton. This 22 acre site offers a wide variety of watersports, camping and fishing facilities for all the family (novice or proficient alike). the lake is available for bookings for use of own craft, for reunion, for corporate parties, or just fun parties.

The Trout Inn at Wansford, a cosy, friendly atmosphere and excellent home-cooked lunch and dinner served at the Bar or in the Restaurant. Separate smoking & non-smoking and ample car parking.

The DNT have installed moorings on the Navigation 20 yards from the Trout Inn. As Wansford Bridge currently prevents boats from travelling further up the canal to probably the most beautiful section, this is an ideal port of call for boaters and walkers.
