Spurn Light Ship

The
Spurn Light Vessel was built in 1927 and has been lovingly and
painstakingly restored to her original condition and now stands as a
timeless memorial to those sailor who plied the trade routes to and
from the Humber ports. She currently stands with a quiet dignity and
majesty on her permanent berth in the Hull Marina. Having been once
stationed on active duty 4½ miles east of Spurn Point for 48 years, the
Spurn Light Vessel now quietly beckons visitors to walk her decks and
envision daily life for the vital role of Light Keeper on the Spurn
station.
