website user handbook

The website user handbook is a collection of articles about the 'mechanics' of the website as opposed to it's content. It is intended to help new users getting started: there are 'How to ...' step by step tutorials, some overviews of important aspects of the interface (eg how membership and groups work) and plenty of room (on every page) for your questions and queries.

If you have a question or a problem with some aspect of using this website, please

  1. Have a look through the 'How to ...' tutorials and tips listed below and see if you can find your answer there. There may also be useful comments (FAQs) at the foot of the page.
  2. If you can't find an answer, please ask your question by typing it into the 'comment' box at the bottom of the most appropriate page.
  3. If you can't find an appropriate page, please ask your question here by clicking 'add new comment' at the bottom of this page.
  4. If you can't login to access any of the above, please use this contact webhelp form.

Good luck, John.

Warning: I'm still writing these help files!

So if it doesn't make much sense, sorry. You can help by asking questions though - this will help me figure out what needs to go into the helpfiles!
